Marie Lapore received many awards and citations during her lifetime. Among them is the Massachusetts Air Force Association Aviation Education Award for "outstanding work with youth of Massachusetts in aviation education"

Mrs Lepore also had many affiliations, including an appointment to the Women's Aviation Advisory Committee by the FAA New England.
